Semiclassical methods

We introduce the Truncated Chord Approximation via the symplectic Fourier transform of the Truncated Wigner Function. Direct numerical comparison of the TCA with exact quantum results verifies the semiclassical predictions for an initial coherent state evolving under the Kerr Hamiltonian.

Near-threshold photodetachment microscopy of mononegative ions is theoretically studied when a homogeneous transverse magnetic field B is superimposed to the static electric field E. We have theoretically characterized and quantified the effects on the interference pattern due to the presence of the transverse magnetic field.
